Young Professional Team of the Year
For the second year running, the entire recruitment consultant team has been shortlisted for the Young Professional Team of the Year award at the Insider Yorkshire Young Professional Awards 2024. These well-respected awards recognise the region’s leading professionals aged 35 and under and help to highlight the achievements of Yorkshire’s outstanding young talent.
Pioneering an advice-led consultative approach, this Headstar team have been shortlisted for their excellent reputation at providing businesses with consultative advice, which is so often overlooked by other recruitment agencies. The team work closely with businesses to undertake a full finance function review and make informed recommendations to resource a fit for purpose finance team.
With an average five-star Google Review rating (from over 150 reviews), the team have achieved exceptional client and candidate satisfaction, while contributing to 20% year-on-year growth for the business.
Young Recruitment Professional of the Year
In addition, one of our Senior Consultants, Ross Wallace, has also been shortlisted for Young Recruitment Professional of the Year at the same Insider Awards.
Ross is directly responsible for growing the Accountancy Practice recruitment division of Headstar, and this year he has worked hard on expanding his network, hosting a social and networking event for accountancy students from The University of Leeds and sponsoring two networking events with one of UK’s top ten Accountancy Practices.
Finance Leader of the Year
Not to be outdone by the younger members of the Headstar team, one of our Directors, Simon Webster, has also been shortlisted for the Finance Leader of the Year award at The Business Desk Leadership Awards in Yorkshire.
In his dual role as Head of Portfolio and Advisory, and Finance Director for Headstar, Simon has made a massive impact to the business in the last twelve months, completely transforming our finance processes for the better and greatly expanding our team of Portfolio Finance Directors.
